So, things are good in Vegas. Hot and windy, but good.
We got the kids involved with some community programs. First, they're taking swimming lessons. They "swim" okay already, but it's good to try to calm Sierra's fear of going under the water. Sierra's class actually involves Lorey, so they swim together while Ryan swims on his own.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, right before swimming lessons, the kids have a class together! I think they feel pretty cool going to the same class, and hopefully they'll actually learn something. It's a time and calendar class where they're supposed to learn about the days of the week, months of the year, etc. We're hoping they just have a good time and can hang out together away from home.
We made it home safely from Utah a couple weeks ago, and are not sure when the next trip is going to be. I almost feel obligated to avoid driving as much as possible since gas prices are so sickening, but I think we'll end up doing whatever we want either way. :) On a side note about gas prices, I drive past the same gas station going to work, and it literally would go up between 4pm on one day, to 8am the next day when I get back to work, and then AGAIN before leaving at 4pm that day. It would freak me out like I was confused about what I saw the time before. Needless to say, it'll be nice to get some new blood in the White House. Yes, that's my political statement for the year(s). And, no, I won't elaborate, nor do I care to discuss it. :)
I will, however, talk about sports. I watched the Lakers/Celtics Game 6 last night and after rooting hard for the Celtics (against the Lakers?), watching KG go all Chicago hood-child on me at the end made me realize why I was so depressed when it got down to 4 teams. Ugh. Oh well, the NBA draft is in 9 days, and now I can finally immerse myself in the baseball season.
So now what? The World Series of Poker is in full effect. I won't be participating in any of the events there, but if you're a poker fan at all, it sure is a sight to see. I will play in some side events (they have them all over at MUCH more reasonably prices), just like the one I played in last week. It was a deep-stack event which basically means it's easy to stay around and play for a while. Or, you can have your all-in pre-flop pocket aces cracked by pocket 4's. Meh. But, with family coming into town this weekend, it's time to give it another go. Think good thoughts!
Alright, I have officially blogged enough for a while... unless I wake up excessively early for no apparent reason again. Until then!

BlackBerry Blogging
[BEGIN TEST]
I'm trying to see how effective this will actually be from a cell phone. This would revolutionize my blogging world as I could take people through the daily minutiae of our life as it happens!
Or, it's more likely I'm trying to get my $30 worth of unlimited data access this month.
Either way, things are good. Lorey's been in Utah with the kids for the week while I worked. It gave me time to do some cooking experiments which are always fun. I'll have to post the picture of the giant cookie I made.
Alright, my texting fingers are getting tired so I'll shoot for a real post next week.
